This was me yesterday at approx. 5pm. Before we go forward, though, we have to step back. Everyone must know by now that I was pink-slipped in May of 2009. Last school year was my first year of NOT teaching. I did long-term sub in a WONDERFUL classroom and then ended the 09-10 year at another great school as a Title One teacher. Ultimately, my goal is to be back in the classroom permanently, but over the last 15 months, I've had to recognize that the Lord may not have that designed into my future. What a journey!
Fast-forward to yesterday: I just HAPPENED to call the DO looking for some answers regarding PAPARWORK. When my phone call was returned, I was offered a 2 week sub job at yet ANOTHER of our District's wonderful schools. Surprise! Well, it's not just any sub job. This sub job has the POTENTIAL (NOT guarantee) to end up in a permanent position. What's more: I was HAND-PICKED for this job! What a compliment!
I am so thrilled to have this opportunity, humbled that old friends and old bosses would speak so highly of me and my work, and blessed to have guaranteed work for at least 2 weeks!
